Hi! I am Cristina German,a storyteller who uses various creative mediums.
I am a multidisciplinary creative with a background in editorial, visual storytelling, and media strategy. My work is rooted in storytelling, whether that takes the form of long-form writing, visual concepts, or experiential projects that bring ideas to life.
I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, and Communications, with a minor in Journalism. While at FIT, I worked on Blush Magazine as a writer before stepping into leadership roles as Senior Culture Editor and later Features Director, collaborating closely with writers and shaping editorial direction. I interned at Untitled Magazine, assisting with editorial operations and gallery-based events , and at By Malene Birger as a showroom assistant. In my last two years, I took many production and media classes, broadening my knowledge of communications and shoot planning.
I’m currently pursuing my MBA in Entertainment and Media Management at Ithaca College, work as Assistant to the Editor at Retro Fan Magazine, and as Editor-In-Chief and Brand Manager of Dispatch. My portfolio reflects this mix of editorial and creative exploration, featuring published writing, academic and professional projects, content creation, event concepts with rendered visualizations, video production work, and fashion journalism projects where I led both photography and storytelling.
Outside of professional projects, I enjoy experimenting creatively through photography (annoying my little brothers by taking pictures of them), graphic design, and visual editing. I shoot on my old hand-me-down Canon camera, edit using Photoshop and Lightroom, and create graphics and presentations using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
I aspire to work as a Creative Director, combining strategy, storytelling, and visual direction.
